Picture Overload

The wedding day was nothing short of amazing!  I've never smiled so hard in one day in my whole life.  I couldn't help myself.

I felt stunning and gorgeous, but most importantly I felt loved.  The entire wedding party radiated from the joy and excitement of the day.

I was on a high that lasted the entire weekend.  It was a dream come true to see all of our family and friends in one place.

It was a perfect wedding!  Literally, the best day of my life.  And to be honest, I wasn't shooting for perfection...it just happened that way!

I was making big, life-altering promises to the man I love and I was surrounded by the most important people in my life.

I danced like a mad woman and laughed and screamed with joy!

I'm so glad that that everybody came...I'm so glad that we didn't take on anymore DIY projects...I'm so glad I have such amazing women in my life...I'm so glad we composed our own ceremony and vows...
I'M SO GLAD WE DIDN'T ELOPE!!!

If I had known the wedding would be so amazing and that marriage would be this good, I would have had a MUCH shorter engagement.

To watch our families intertwine to a degree that they appeared as one made my heart melt.

Pro Pics

I received the link from our photographer to see ALL the pics she took of our wedding.  It took me about an hour to look at them all because of the sheer volume of pictures.  Well, that and I couldn't stop crying so I had to keep pausing the slideshow.  One word.....BEAUTIFUL!!

I can't wait to get the disc from her so I can start posting my favs.

Warning:  I have a lot of favs!!

Failure turned Success

I'm 37 days away from the wedding and it seems like everything that "can" go wrong, IS!!

In the past week we had to "let go" of our current pastor and find someone else, the hotel that we are using to block rooms is not being cooperative and has changed the pricing on me (dramatically), my DIY bouquets for the bridal party were a complete failure and I failed to make the final payment to our photographer by the due date because I have somehow LOST our contract and didn't know it was due!

I'm emotionally drained. I have never wanted to give up on something so badly as I do this wedding! Why didn't we go to the courthouse or elope?

But, I can see light at the end of the tunnel.....

Our new officiant is so totally cool. She understands our "vision" and hasn't tried to push us to do something we are uncomfortable with. Not to mention that she has such a great personality. She is funny and a bit of a wise-ass just like my fiance! What a perfect fit!

Yes, the hotel has raised their prices but they are at least working with me on other areas. Originally, as most hotels do, I had to block rooms and whatever rooms were not used I was responsible for payment. They are now letting me block rooms and whatever rooms are not booked they will just open back up to the public a couple weeks before the wedding and I will not be responsible for the cost. The downside is still the fact that I have to make sure my guests book their rooms in the next couple weeks as the blocked rooms are only good up until a certain date.

After giving up on the idea that I would make all the bouquets, I finally broke down and went to a florist. I'm in L-O-V-E with the bridesmaid bouquets that we picked out.

And here is the inspiration picture for my bouquet:

And lastly, I spoke to our photographer yesterday and explained how sorry I was about missing the payment and she was totally cool. A check went in the mail and all is right with the world again!

Now if only I could make some progress on our rehearsal dinner.......

A Little Personal...........

Oh what a day...............it's only 9:30am and I have already cried. But for the first time in a long time these are HAPPY tears. Please look at the following pictures from Jules Bianchi and I think you will understand why.....sniff.....sniff

I don't think I ever doubted the fact that Don and I would have gorgeous wedding pictures (I mean come on, we are two very good looking people....LOL), but I guess I always assumed his wheelchair would be the center of attention or we would constantly be trying to "mask" it. To be honest, when I first looked at these pictures I didn't even realize there was a wheelchair. The beauty and the love between this husband and wife drew me. It was the moment when I realized that he was in a wheelchair that the tears started flowing.

Do you think there is any hope for us to look that breathtaking
on our wedding day?

The real question is.........
Is ther any hope for ME to look that good standing next to such a hunk?

EDIT: I apologize that the photos are too large for my page (I can't figure out how to make them smaller).....please go here to see the actual photos from Jules Bianchi
